Work type: Part-time Department Opening: Education Marian University invites applicants to apply for the position of Adjunct Professor in Education Leadership, starting January, 2027. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to graduate education, student engagement and research, as well as service to the college and community. Marian University is an institution that values innovative teaching, advising, and mentoring. Primary Responsibilities: • Serve as an adjunct instructor for Marian University’s Educational Leadership program. Courses are delivered in a mostly asynchronous, online format but may include some synchronous and/or face-to-face learning sessions/opportunities. • Exhibit a mind-set, skill set and level of enthusiasm that meets the needs of today’s graduate-level students • Display best practices for online learning protocols that includes creating/maintaining an effective system to communicate with students on a regular and meaningful basis • Assist with the coordination and participation with possible on-campus professional development opportunities • Update Requirements: • Master's degree in education leadership with specific expertise/preparation in the area in which you wish to teach; terminal degree in the discipline is preferred. • At least 3 years of K-12 teaching experience within the area(s) of licensure. • At least 3 years of experience in the role(s) of Principal and/or Director of Instruction Preferred qualifications include: • Experience with online Higher Education teaching • Experience in learning management system platforms • Certification/Licensure in K-12 Education (teacher and administrator) • K-12 experience within the last 5 years Courses Include: • Educational Leadership • Principal Practicum • Director of Instruction Practicum • School – Community Relations • Curriculum Development • Leadership in Supervision and Personnel Development • Education Administration and Management • Law and Politics in Education • Leadership for Diverse Populations • District Curriculum Application Requirements: Please submit a letter of interest, resume/CV, unofficial transcripts, and name, address and telephone number of three references.
