JOB TYPE: Adjunct Faculty SALARY RANGE: $1,000-$1,350 per credit START DATE: As soon as possible FLSA STATUS: Exempt APPLICATION DEADLINE: Jan 29, 2027 CONTACT: Please submit an online applicationTitle: Adjunct Assistant Professor Department: Diagnostic Health Professions: Clinical Laboratory Science Program Campus: Brookville, New York Salary: $1,000-$1,350 per credit FLSA: Non-Exempt Starting Date: 9/1/2026 The Department of Diagnostic Health Professions - Clinical Laboratory Sciences (CLS) Program at Long Island University-Post Campus, Brookville, NY, invites applications for Adjunct Assistant Professor to teach CLS major courses, specifically clinical chemistry, hematology and blood bank, immunology beginning AY26-27. CLS major courses are indicated in the CLS curriculum as posted on the MS and BS CLS webpages. Teaching may also include non-CLS courses offered by the biomedical sciences section of the department. The CLS Program is NAACLS-accredited to 2027 and is registered with NYSEDOP as licensure-qualifying. Required Minimum Qualifications:ASCP-certified with NYS CLS Generalist License M.S. or Ph. D. in the areas of teaching interest B.S. will be considered if ASCP-certified with teaching and clinical laboratory experience excellent communication skills three years of clinical laboratory experience preferred three years of teaching experience preferred: classroom, seminars, and one-to-one Ability to teach various courses and labs in the CLS major curriculum experience with interprofessional education experience with assessment of student learning outcomes Application Process: A full application must include a cover letter describing the applicant's areas teaching interest in the CLS profession, CV, teaching evaluations if applicable, and a list of two references, including names, email, address, and telephone number.
