Johnson County Community College Position: Adjunct Assistant Nursing Professor, Simulation Department: Academic Affairs Type of Position: Adjunct Faculty Exemption Status: Exempt Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday-Friday, 30 hours per week Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No Starting Salary Range: AJCR $1,262-$1,404 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume. Position Summary: Johnson County Community College is seeking two (2) adjunct nursing faculty to teach in the Zamierowski Center for Healthcare Simulation (ZCHS). The ZCHS adjunct nursing faculty is a clinically experienced subject matter expert who is responsible for facilitating student learning and performance in the on-site simulation center. The ZCHS provides an immersive simulation learning experience for Associate Degree Nursing (ADN-Registered Nurse) students. The adjunct nursing faculty will be responsible for working with faculty, students, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure that the highest quality simulation learning activities are efficiently integrated and implemented across the nursing curriculum. These positions involves the use of interactive and simulated technology, with evidence-based simulation models, to implement and evaluate simulation scenarios as an educational modality. Adjunct nursing faculty will provide clinical, educational, and technical expertise in simulation-based activities in the ZCHS. Faculty will work as part of the ZCHS team to provide current best practice for patient scenarios during a simulation clinical day which compliments the pre-licensure nursing curriculum. Faculty will be actively involved with scenario implementation, facilitation, and debriefing for learners.
