Johnson County Community College Position: Adjunct Assistant Nursing Professor, Health Resource Center Department: Academic Affairs Type of Position: Adjunct Faculty Exemption Status: Exempt Work Schedule, Hours per week: Will require weekend and evening availability, as well as during normal business hours. Average 30 hours per week, over 16 weeks. Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No Starting Salary Range: AJCR $1,262-$1,404 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume. Position Summary:Average of 30 hours per week, over 16 weeks. Availability required (hours should fall within these timeframes) Monday through Friday: between hours of 0730-1900 Saturday: 0900-1500 (most Saturdays required) Anticipated number of days: 4-5 per week Will require weekend and evening availability, as well as during normal business hours. Job Duties:Staff open lab hours, to include: Assist students learning psychomotor skills, and Complete formal skills validations Formal lab set-up and break-down Teaching formal skills labs and assessment labs Inventorying supplies Assisting with lab clean-up/laundry Student remediation for psychomotor skills referrals Grading, to include: Classroom assignments, and Tickets to class Formal Evaluation of students to include: Proctoring Head to Toe examinations, and Skills Check-offs Required Qualifications: Masters degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. Candidates with a BSN and requisite experience will be considered. Active single-state RN license in Kansas, or an active Multi-state RN license. Current BLS certification as a healthcare provider. A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience within the last five years. Ability to multitask; process multiple sources of information quickly.
