Uma kodali (Principal enginnner and architect) is a guest lecturer based in Camas, WA available for in-person guest lectures at universities. Introductions are free through OpenLecture.
Guest lecture topics
I can deliver guest lectures on applied AI and real-world data systems, especially in healthcare contexts. Some of the topics I cover include: - AI in Healthcare: From Data to Clinical Decisions - Building Real-World LLM Systems (RAG + Agents) - Why AI Projects Fail in Production - Risk Prediction Without Labeled Data - Designing AI Systems for Care Management and Population Health My focus is on bridging theory with practical implementation, sharing real-world challenges, design patterns, and lessons learned from deploying AI systems in production environments.
Teaching experience
I don’t have formal teaching experience, but I regularly explain and share knowledge in my work. I work with different teams to break down data and AI concepts and help them understand how to use them in real situations. I also mentor team members and help simplify complex topics like machine learning and LLMs so they’re easier to understand. I focus on keeping things clear, practical, and useful.
