Teaching experience

TEACHING AND GRADUATE ACADEMIC COACHING EXPERIENCE My teaching and academic-support experience includes in-person classroom instruction and graduate level academic coaching. In the coaching role, I support MBA courses by developing close familiarity with the curriculum, learning objectives, assignment instructions, questions and sub-questions, case materials, and grading rubrics. I evaluate student submissions, provide individualized written feedback and assignment guidance, communicate directly with students, and address questions or concerns about assignments, cases, expectations, and course requirements. These responsibilities demonstrate sustained engagement in student learning, assessment, instructional communication, and faculty support. MBA-756: Labor and Employment Law Provide graduate-level academic coaching for legal and case-based assignments involving labor and employment law principles, workplace rights and responsibilities, regulatory requirements, and the application of legal reasoning to organizational decisions. Evaluate student work using established rubrics, assess responses to assignment questions and sub-questions, clarify expectations, and provide substantive, constructive feedback that strengthens students’ analysis, professional writing, and application of course concepts. MBA-757: Leadership Communication Provide graduate-level academic coaching for coursework examining leadership theories, leadership communication, personality assessments, self-awareness, interpersonal dynamics, and the application of leadership concepts in organizational settings. Evaluate applied assignments and case analyses using established rubrics, assess students’ integration of theory and assessment results, provide individualized feedback and instructional guidance, clarify course expectations, and respond to questions or concerns about assignments and course requirements. Adjunct Faculty — Florida SouthWestern Collegiate High School Delivered in-person classroom instruction, communicated course content and assignment expectations, adapted instruction to varied learning needs, maintained attendance and lesson continuity, and upheld institutional policies and student confidentiality. This experience strengthened my classroom presence, instructional flexibility, student engagement, and ability to support learning in a structured, face-to-face academic environment. Faculty-Relevant Scope: Across these roles, I have contributed to instruction, assessment, student engagement, academic progress, and the consistent application of course standards. Although I am not the instructor of record for the MBA courses, my academic coaching requires substantive familiarity with course content and learning objectives so that grading, feedback, and student guidance remain aligned with faculty expectations and institutional standards. Combined with my in-person adjunct teaching experience, this work reflects my readiness to support rigorous, student-centered instruction in a faculty role.

Interests & speaking style

I am an emerging higher education instructor and criminal justice professional with more than two decades of experience across county, state, and federal levels in public safety, corrections, court operations, law enforcement support, intelligence research, mediation, and compliance. As a graduate-level Academic Coach and Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator in Family, Appellate, and County Mediation, I bring practical experience, legal training, and a student-centered approach to criminal justice, criminology, legal studies, ethics, and public safety instruction. My teaching philosophy combines compassion with clear expectations and accountability. Through real-world examples, case analysis, discussion, and constructive feedback, I help students connect theory to practice, strengthen critical thinking, and understand the human impact of justice and legal systems. My goal is to prepare students to serve their communities with fairness, integrity, empathy, and sound judgment.
