Anusha Pothineni (Lead Controls Engineer) is a guest lecturer based in Oro Valley available for online guest lectures, in-person guest lectures, career panels, and student-organized talks at universities. Introductions are free through OpenLecture.

Guest lecture topics

Automotive embedded control systems; Model-Based Development using MATLAB/Simulink; Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) testing and its role in early software verification; verification and validation of safety-critical automotive control software; decision and MC/DC coverage; CAN and SAE J1939 communication; requirements-based testing; Electronic Parking Brake control systems; vehicle motion detection and fault-handling strategies; and practical application of functional safety principles in automotive software development.

Teaching experience

While my primary experience has been in industry rather than formal academic teaching, I have regularly participated in technical knowledge-sharing, engineering discussions, requirements and design reviews, software verification activities, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams. I have also supported engineers in understanding model-based development, testing methodologies, control logic, CAN communication, and automotive software verification practices.

Interests & speaking style

I am interested in sharing practical automotive engineering experience with students and helping connect classroom concepts with real-world embedded control system development. My lecturing style is application-oriented and example-driven. I prefer explaining a concept from the fundamentals and then showing how it is applied to real engineering problems through control logic, Simulink models, communication examples, testing scenarios, and lessons learned from industry projects.
