Camp Community College Location: Franklin (City) - 620 FLSA: Exempt Hiring Range: $793 per credit hour Full Time or Part Time: Part Time Additional Detail Job Description: Paul D. Camp Community College is a small 2-year college in Southeast Virginia. Campuses are located in Franklin and Suffolk. There also is a center in Smithfield. The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates In transfer and career/technical programs; credit and non-credit workforce services and training for businesses and industries; special interest classes for the community; and summer classes for youth through the Regional Workforce Development Center. A dual enrollment program for high school students, online courses, and developmental studies classes are available at the college as well. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. 1. Teaching : Creating a learning environment that facilitates students' acquisition of knowledge and skills in a subject. Teaching encompasses four components: Instructional Design, Instructional Delivery, Instructional Effectiveness, and Instructional Expertise. 2. Scholarly and Creative Engagement: Engage in scholarly and/or creative activity, which may include conference attendance and presentation, professional organizations participation, academic coursework, scholarly research and publications, and grant activity. 3. Institutional Responsibility: Performing assigned or presumed duties according to one's role at the college. These activities support and advance both the mission of the VCCS and the college to enhance the effective functioning of the college.
