Description Department: Workforce, Business, and Community Education (WBCE) Pay Grade: Placed on Non-Credit Adjunct Faculty scale FLSA Status: Exempt Job Summary CARROLL COMMUNITY COLLEGE is currently seeking adjunct faculty to teach continuing education students in Home Inspection training. Instruction focuses on basic residential construction standards and processes, home inspection processes and inspection techniques. Other topics include defect recognition in structural, exterior, interior, roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other areas. Courses will prepare students for the Home Inspector licensing exam in Maryland. Job Requirements Minimum Requirements To Perform Work The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in the Home Inspection trade and be willing to provide instruction in person/or online and must be industry certified. Strong communication, presentation and critical thinking skills are required. Teaching experience and additional relevant industry certifications preferred. Class schedules may vary from day or evening hours and weekend or weekday hours. Physical Demands This position involves a light to medium level of physical effort which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
