About this position
General Description/Primary Purpose Provide excellent instruction in veterinary nursing college courses on the Tishomingo or Ardmore locations, online, or other possible sites required by class schedules. Contribute to campus-wide activities by performing other essential functions as listed below. Classi?cation: Adjunct, Non-Exempt Appointment: Renewed by semester Description of Duties: Provide direction and involvement in aspects of class implementation, including curriculum design, re?nement and sequencing, class design, hardware/software selection, and other necessary activities. Use appropriate evaluation instruments to measure student progress while maintaining the process of data-based decision making for curriculum improvement. Maintain professionalism as described in the MSC Faculty handbook. Demonstrate scholarly standards of academic excellence and rigor, and exhibit the traits be?tting that of a distinguished faculty member. Demonstrate experience and/or willingness to learn and use state-of-the-art technology in the delivery of instruction and other o?ce duties. Demonstrate awareness of and sensitivity to cultural diversity as it impacts curricula and instructional practices and show a willingness to work e?ectively in a culturally diverse workplace and not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, age, religion, disability, political beliefs, or status as a veteran. Support the mission of the college. Maintain a positive attitude of service toward students, coworkers and others. Promote and support service learning activities. Develop and use assessment of student learning methods at least every two weeks and contribute to campus-wide assessment projects. Use appropriate evaluation instruments to measure student progress at speci?ed intervals.
