PT Instructor- ESL Lab

About this position

Passaic County Community College is seeking candidates to teach in the ELS Reading and Writing Labs in both day and evening schedules. Specific Functions:The candidate will teach assigned ELS lab classes following the ELS Lab Academic Calendar and syllabus. Meet lab sessions as scheduled for the full period. Maintain accurate student attendance/grade records and submit them to the Director of ELS Tutoring Services when requested. Utilize the appropriate technology to fulfill teaching duties. Participate in the ELS Department activities, including meetings as needed. Required Background:Teaching experience is required Master's in ESL, English, Teaching or related field required The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate. Compensation: The minimum pay for this position is $25 per hour. Benefits:New Jersey Sick Leave: Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year. (Eligible to use after successful completion of probationary period.)
