Job Description: The ideal candidate will possess expertise across several sectors of the music industry, such as artist management, record label operations, music publishing, music marketing, distribution, rights management, live entertainment, and the commercial strategies that support artists, creators, and music businesses. The Music Business/Management Department within the Professional Education Division at Berklee College of Music invites applications for a part-time faculty member with broad professional experience across the music industry. We are seeking an educator-practitioner with a comprehensive understanding of the contemporary music business and the versatility to teach across multiple areas of the undergraduate Music Business/Management curriculum. The ideal candidate will possess expertise across several sectors of the music industry, such as artist management, record label operations, music publishing, music marketing, distribution, rights management, live entertainment, and the commercial strategies that support artists, creators, and music businesses. Candidates should be able to connect foundational music business concepts to current industry trends, emerging issues, and changing business models. RESPONSIBILITIES Teach a variety of undergraduate courses across the Music Business/Management curriculum. Deliver engaging instruction that combines foundational music business principles with current industry practices. Introduce students to key sectors of the music industry, including rights, revenue streams, stakeholders, contracts, marketing, publishing, recordings, live music, and career development. Incorporate case studies, applied projects, industry examples, and experiential learning into course delivery. Hold office hours and advise students in their academic and professional development. Participate in department meetings and department-sponsored activities as needed. Maintain active engagement with the music industry to ensure course
