Mount Vernon Nazarene University is seeking a part time (6 hours/week) Chemistry Lab Adjunct Instructor, for the Fall semester of 2026. Compensation is on an hourly basis. Responsibilities and expectations for this position include: Teaching chemistry lab sections. Providing each student with clear course expectations course syllabus. Guide students through chemistry experiments using provided lab plans. Overseeing proper disposal of chemistry waste. Ensure student safety while in the laboratory environment. Communicate weekly with course instructor. Supporting departmental efforts for continued improvement of programs. Other duties as assigned Qualifications for the successful candidate: Evangelical Christian confession of faith and practice is required. Master degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field. A strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts setting. Commitment to quality lab instruction; evidence of successful previous teaching experience in higher education preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
