JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Position Overview: The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty in the Doctor of Nursing Practice - Nurse Anesthesia (DNP-NA) Program. We seek a dynamic, clinically experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with a doctoral degree in nursing and a strong commitment to nurse anesthesia education, clinical excellence, and scholarly engagement. Ideal candidates will contribute to preparing the next generation of CRNA leaders through innovative teaching, simulation-based learning, and active involvement in research or evidence-based practice. The successful candidate will collaborate with the DNP-NA leadership team to foster an inclusive learning environment and support program accreditation, student success, and clinical partnerships. Job Responsibilities: Teaching & Clinical Instruction: Develop new coursework for the nurse anesthesia program and ensure alignment with Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program Standards on Accreditation Review and re-align scholarly project coursework to align with DNP-NA program curriculum through focused course development and editing. Provide high-quality instruction in nurse anesthesia didactic and clinical courses. Develop and deliver simulation-based learning experiences aligned with program competencies and accreditation standards. Facilitate student learning in basic sciences, anesthesia principles, scholarly projects, and clinical practicum. Scholarship: Mentor students in the development and implementation of DNP scholarly projects.
