Hampton University's Department of Literatures, Languages, and Film is seeking an adjunct instructor for online, asynchronous courses of GER 101: Elementary German I and GER 201: Intermediate I to be delivered via HU Global's Fall Session II. Per the Academic Catalog: GER 101 is an Introductory course designed to develop the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Oral proficiency and communicative competence are stressed. GER 201 is the continued development of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Includes reading of authentic German texts. (Prerequisite: GER 102 or the equivalent.) HU Global's Fall Session II runs from Monday, October 12 (first day of class) through Tuesday, December 8 (last set of grades due). Requirements Qualified candidates should have a graduate degree (doctorate preferred) in German, or related field from an accredited university. Experience in and evidence of successful teaching in a university setting is preferred. Candidates without a Master's degree in German or a related field can possess a master's degree in any field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in German or the related field.
