Location: McKinney Campus Primary Location: 2200 W. University Drive, McKinney, Texas, 75071 We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Job Summary: Assist in the instruction of healthcare related labs providing basic skills to students. Demonstrate knowledge and skills relevant to various health care professions while maintaining a safe and effective teaching environment. Assess competency skills in traditional or dual credit environment. Required Qualifications: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assure each lab has the proper amount of materials or equipment for each student and maintain a safe lab environment. Train and direct students on proper emergency procedures, including suctioning, oxygen therapy, airway management, traction splinting, bandaging, etc. Demonstrate procedures, including CPR instruction for infants and adults, spinal immobilization, vital signs, patient assessment, etc. Direct students in the proper procedure for medical administration, including metered dose inhalers, epi-pens, sublingual, intramuscular injection, subcutaneous injection, endotracheal, cardioversion, code management, defibrillation, and destrostick. Train students on the proper procedures for ECG Recognition, including endotracheal intubation for adults and infants, esophageal intubation, intraosseous infusion, intravenous catheter insertion, external cardiac pacing, pneumatic anti-shock trousers, and automatic external defibrillation. Provide advice and/or assistance to faculty members in regard to course content and instructional materials. Review, reinforce, and assess learned content as determined by faculty. Coordinate and facilitate student groups for completion of student learning outcomes as provided by faculty and deliver constructive feedback to students with regular communication with faculty.
