About this position
Visiting Faculty Program Fall 2026 This is a short-term visiting faculty appointment administered from a U.S. office. In-person instruction takes place on campus in Zhengzhou, China. Purpose: Engage with Chinese university students through lectures delivered by professors from the United States, offering unique perspectives and advanced teaching methods. Timing: 2–3 weeks of instruction at the University’s campus in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China. Instructors may schedule their in-person visit anytime between Sept 1, 2026, and December 7 , 2026. Compensation: $2900 per week (24 hours of lectures) Instruction: On-Campus All instruction is conducted in English. Each course consists of 16 × 90-minute lectures. Instructors may use their preferred teaching materials, provided they align with the course descriptions. Instructors may adapt slide decks and course materials from their preferred publishers. Courses are delivered in a lecture format using PowerPoint slides and audio/visual aids. For the final assessment, a 50-question exam is required at the conclusion of the course. No office hours or homework grading are required; instructors are responsible only for grading the final exam. What Is Included On-Campus Visit The program covers airfare, Chinese visa fees, on-campus lodging at the visiting faculty guesthouse, full access to the cafeteria, and airport transportation. Courses/topics available: Ø Basic Electrical Circuits II Ø Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition Ø Advanced Programmable Logic Controllers Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Engineering or a closely related Science field awarded by a Western university.
