Title: Clinical Adjunct for Practical Nursing Agency: Northern VA Community College Location: Fairfax County - 059 FLSA: Exempt Hiring Range: $63 per hour Full Time or Part Time: Part Time Additional Detail Job Description: General Description: Northern Virginia Community College is seeking qualified and interested Adjunct Clinical Instructors in one or more of the following areas: Basic Skills, Med-Surg Nursing, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and/or Mental Health Nursing for evenings & weekends. Applications will be received and considered on a continuous basis, as openings occur. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the positions needed are filled and/or the closing date of our announcement. The Practical Nursing Clinical Adjunct Instructor will supervise and evaluate the students’ performance of skills and other nursing activities to ensure safe practice. They will also collaborate with full-time nursing faculty to review student progress in meeting clinical objectives. They will also provide direct feedback to the students regarding clinical performance. Faculty members are expected to remain current in their teaching disciplines and stay informed about trends in community college education. Instruction will include a mix of didactic, online, skills labs, and clinical instruction. Applications will be accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis.
