About the Role: The Adjunct of Fashion plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education in fashion design, history, and industry practices to students at the collegiate level. There is a particular need for instructors who can teach Patternmaking, Advanced Construction Techniques, and Collections Development. This position is responsible for developing and teaching engaging course content that bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application, preparing students for successful careers in the fashion industry. The role involves mentoring students, providing constructive feedback on their work, and fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment. Additionally, the Adjunct will stay current with emerging trends and technologies in fashion to ensure course material remains relevant and forward-thinking. Ultimately, this position contributes to the academic growth and professional readiness of students pursuing fashion-related disciplines. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a closely related field. Demonstrated professional experience in the fashion industry or fashion education. Proven ability to teach and communicate complex fashion concepts effectively to diverse student populations. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple courses or sections concurrently. Eligibility to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree or higher in Fashion or related discipline. Experience with digital design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software, or fashion-specific technologies. Previous teaching experience at the college or university level. A portfolio showcasing professional or academic work in fashion design or related areas. Familiarity with sustainable fashion practices and industry innovations.
