FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Bronx Community College (BCC) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Adjunct Instructor in the College Now & Early College program for the Fall 2026 Semester. The instructor will be responsible for teaching from a variety of disciplines including FYS, a college-level seminar adapted for local Bronx high schools, as part of BCC College Now & Early College’s class offerings in Bronx partner high schools. Students who successfully complete the course will receive 1 college credit. In addition, Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit applications for consideration to teach in the following disciplines: English Math Theater Communications, Introduction to Criminal Justice Stress Management Art Psychology Sociology Health Care Management Foreign Languages Computer Fundamentals and Applications Introduction to the Internet and Web Development Web Programming with Python We seek adjunct instructors with a demonstrated commitment to and passion for fostering critical thinking, analytical, and college readiness skills of young people in the Bronx. We encourage applicants to apply who are dedicated to nurturing college access for diverse Bronx public school students. We seek instructors who use innovative, engaging, positive youth development, and learner-centered teaching methods to build students’ academic confidence, voice and skills. Qualifications Adjunct Lecturer: Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully. Preferred Qualifications A Masters in degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent Candidates who have previous high school/community college/undergraduate teaching experience are preferred. Candidates who can teach both in-person and online courses are preferred. Candidates who can teach in both daytime and/or evening classes are preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with prior college-level teaching experience within the same discipline. Qualified candidate
