Adjunct Instructor of Biology

About this position

Mars Hill University is seeking an energetic and engaging adjunct instructor to bring biology to life for non-science majors during the Fall 2026 semester. The instructor will teach Introduction to Biological Sciences lectures and laboratories, helping students explore the living world through relevant examples, meaningful discussions, and hands-on investigations. This course offers an exciting opportunity to inspire curiosity and equip students with foundational scientific knowledge they can apply in their careers, communities, and everyday lives. We are looking for someone who is passionate about biology, enthusiastic in the classroom, and eager to help students discover how science connects to the world around them. A Ph.D. in biology or a closely related field is preferred; however, candidates with a master's degree and college-level teaching experience are also strongly encouraged to apply.
