Adjunct Instructor (Genetics) - Part Time Biology Description Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Biology to begin August 15, 2026. Applicants must be a Minnesota resident during the term of their employment and have current authorization to work in the United States. Gustavus will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position. Gustavus is not an e-verify institution. Employment Type: Part-Time; $5,000 per 4-credit course; Exempt (Salaried); In-person instruction preferred (open to discussion about synchronous online instruction) Prerequisites What We're Looking For A minimum of a Master's degree in a related field (doctoral degree is strongly preferred) Ability to teach an upper-level, undergraduate Genetics course Demonstrated commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds and identities Position Overview Teach 4 credit hours during the Fall 2026. Teach a 300-level Genetics course (without lab). This course supports both the Biology and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology majors. The course is scheduled for M-W-F from 10:30-11:35 a.m. Classes begin August 31, 2026, and the fall semester ends December 18, 2026.
