Salary: $56.04 Hourly Job Number: 202500473 Department: Health Careers Opening Date: 08/20/2026 Position Description Summary Henry Ford College presents an opportunity for an Adjunct Faculty member in the Health, Education, and Human Services Department. We are seeking a qualified instructor to teach course AH 132: Intro to Healthcare Professions. This course is designed to introduce students to various health care professions. It includes skills and topics common to all healthcare providers such as ethical and legal issues, professionalism, cultural considerations, vital signs, body mechanics, communication, infection control, and evidence based practice. This course will also introduce key elements in the formation and modification of medical terms. This course has a lab hands on component. Core Competencies and QualificationsEarned Associate's Degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution required. Current certification, registration, and/or have MI license in a healthcare profession with a minimum of 3 years work experience in a healthcare profession is required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited toUphold the best scholarly and ethical standards of his or her discipline. Make a reasonable effort to participate in professional development activities in order to identify and implement effective teaching strategies that foster student learning. Make a reasonable effort to foster honest academic conduct and ensure that his or her evaluations of students reflect each student's performance. Demonstrate respect for students as individuals and foster a respectful atmosphere in the classroom or an online learning environment.
