Finish your Degree Online | Charter Oak State College The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Program, accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), is developing a pool of qualified applicants for potential part-time adjunct teaching positions. These positions are filled on an as-needed basis depending on course offerings, enrollment, and program needs. Applications remain active for one year. Candidates will be contacted only if a teaching need arises and they meet the qualifications for the position. Adjunct Faculty Responsibilities:Teach undergraduate courses within the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) curriculum in an online, asynchronous learning environment. Facilitate student learning using evidence-informed teaching practices consistent with the CSWE Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS). Foster an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student success. Connect students experiencing academic or personal challenges with appropriate college support services, including advising, tutoring, accessibility services, and counseling. Maintain an active online presence in assigned courses a minimum of four days each week. Monitor course discussions, provide timely and substantive feedback on assignments, and respond to student inquiries within established college timelines. Attend faculty meetings, either virtually or in person as appropriate, including the annual faculty meeting when requested. Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
